Cherry Tree Farm is owned by Peter and Sharon Brass. Peter and Sharon love this part of the world and the range of activities and hobbies they can enjoy here. They have lived, worked and raised their family in Southland and Otago and loved the life, the countryside and the people. Together they support the local farmers markets in Frankton and Cromwell supplying plants and produce. Their aim is to help create sustainability and closer community connections.

Peter Brass
Peter’s background is in horticulture. From childhood he showed an affinity with plants and as an adult has developed that interest into a thriving plant nursery. He officially retired…but it didn’t take as Peter can’t live without growing plants! Peter loves to encourage others to grow and enjoy doing it too.
He is regularly available for a dedicated Q&A session on our Farm Gate Thursdays. Please check our Message Board for latest updates.
Sharon Brass
Sharon is passionate about wellness in all forms and made nursing her career. After moving to Cromwell in 2012 to semi-retire, she realised she still enjoyed working and meeting new people, and combining that with Peter’s skills in horticulture, together they created Cherry Tree Farm. Sharon enjoys meeting the travelers that come to stay or visit the orchard to pick the famous cherries.

Coco Brass
Coco also lives on the farm. She is a little dog whose task it is to frighten the rabbits away and welcome visitors. She does both very well. We also have 35 hens who are happily enclosed under some fruit trees ..well most the time, on occasion an adventurous chook explores!
